#MSS2011 Splashing Morning – Day 2 (Part 1)

“Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy (hey, what up girl?)…” Ke$ha Tik ToK.

Was I feeling like P. Diddy? :-o I woke up a little disoriented after Rizma‘s voice kept chanting “Bella.. Bella..” somewhere in the distance at 7o’clock in the morning. I opened my eyes and the first thing I heard was flapping of water and for a split second I imagined I was on a 5-star cruise in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Hmm.. Maybe that’s how P. Diddy feels every time he wakes up in his private yatch! :-D

I walked out to the balcony right next to my bed and beheld a beautiful shining morning and a high tide water right under my feet. I don’t want to imagine how it would look like if it were any higher.

"Bila Bila Restaurant from pool corner"

Waited for Siti and Fie for breakfast but it seemed the two ladies overslept – no doubt because of the super comfy bed, fluffy pillows and soft dewy comforters enveloping them throughout the night. If Rizma didn’t wake me, I think I would’ve overslept too. We had breakfast at Bila Bila (Malay word translated as “anytime”) Restaurant, right next to the Infinity Pool and very nearby my room. Breakfast at Bila Bila is from 6.30am – 10.30am. The Bila Bila restaurant serves a huge variety of cold starters, poolside food, international and local cuisines and desserts until late night. Maybe that’s why it is called “anytime” so that you can come here whenever you feel you need a snack. Oh, and there’s karaoke at night too.

We were told the night before that after breakfast, there will be water sport activity at the Smiley Beach. Activities at Smiley Beach opens daily from 9.30am – 6pm but at this time of year, we’re told that the high tide will only last until around 11 o’clock so if we want to try out water sports such as sailing, kayak, windsurfing and such, we have to be early. So at about  10 o’clock, all 24 of us set out for Smiley Beach.

(I then found out blogger Rose had to withdraw due to health issues. :-( )

Awesometastic! That’s the word!

In order to try the water sports or activities, you’ve got to wear your life jacket. Then, register your name and room number, just in case. Out of all the water sports, I only tried sailing with Zaid. I don’t know how to swim and when I see the strong wave coming towards shore, I got a little scared. Plus, all the kayaks were taken! (excuse :-P ) Maybe I should’ve waited for a beach boy to accompany me on a kayak eh?

After the water activities, some even played beach volleyball. The better part about being at an iconic resort such as Golden Palm Tree Resort & Spa is also that other resort residents are friendly and it doesn’t matter if you do not know each other, sportsmanship makes the activities and stay more livelier.

True to the word, at around 11.30am, the high tide just minutes before became lower and we started back to our respective rooms to get out of our wet tops and bottoms before gathering at the Sepoi Sepoi Cafe for lunch at 12.30pm. After a good paddle in the sea, a hearty meal is definitely one to look forward to!

That's it! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO going to this place when I come to Malaysia end of this year! I am going to get that villa too even if it's just for me and my hubs.. We'll stay there for 3 days tops.. Your post last night with the chandelier and this one with the balcony over looking the water is just so amazing… A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

And I LOVE the disclaimer! lolololol… Can I have a beach boy waiting on me in my room tho? :D :D :D :D

    • BellaEnveeus says:

OMG seriously?? If you're just coming with your hubs to stay at the villa then you let me freely stay at the next room la.. Even if you give me the one without the bathtub also I would take.. Coz the bed is just so… Ahhhh… :D You definitely want to produce little juniors on that bed.. Hahahhaahhaaha!!!
Eh, why so over want beach boy waiting on you in room some more? Where you want to kick your hubs? Into the sea is it? LOL! :D xD

Its just a grand resort. Definitely worth the visit! Did you snap all those pictures from the new DSLR you bought? Worth every buck i'd say :D Hahaha, did you request for any beach boys there? Ehem ehem. And you sailing??? Are you sure??? Hehehehe, too bad you had no pictures of that. Didnt picture that you're the physical and outgoing type. One thing that got me curious tho, whats 'Aqua Yoga'? I cant quite picture it……

    • BellaEnveeus says:

Yup, from my baby D7000.. I think I should name my baby.. Need to think of a cool name first.. :p
Ahem.. Beach boys not really my taste lah.. I like other type of boy.. Hehehe.. Eh, why cannot believe I sailing ah? It was cool lah although Zaid and I was at the edge of the boat when it nearly tipped over. :o Kinda spooked me a little since I don't know how to swim but even if it did tip over, there's a ledge that will easily get the boat back up.. The ledge can then be latched in place so it'll go back up.. It's easier to get boat back up than a kayak.. Which is why, I sort of not went too close to the kayak.. :D xD
