2012 New Year Wishes & Celebrations

Photobucket

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012 everybody!!!

2011 had been a rather crazy year for me. There were the ups but there were the downs too. My luck ran a little low in 2011. However, I am grateful for the exciting things I had experienced and will learn from the negative things so that I will not repeat or be in the same situation anymore. I sure hope 2012 will bring me luck, prosperity and things that I never dreamed of. I am SO going to retire at 35 years old. 8-)

I hope all of you will celebrate the New Year with your loved ones or in your comfort zone – be it at home, or in the club or somewhere with a huge crowd waiting for the fireworks to come. Wherever you are and whomever you’re with, just remember to be safe. We want to have a fun filled night with fireworks and New Year’s kiss, not a night filled with shame, pain or worst – death.

So be smart and have fun in a healthy way. I sure hope I won’t hear baby dumping news 9 months from now. You can try to bend the rules, but don’t break them. There’s a reason why rules are made. So respect it.

How am I welcoming the New Year? Hmm.. Imagine me and a few crazy friends in our best ABBA costumes, dancing and singing (on my new karaoke set) to ABBA songs with the disco ball hanging on top of us. Yeah, don’t imagine it too much though. How about you guys? How are you welcoming 2012?

Lots of love and happy wishes to all my blog readers! ;-)

Bored out of my friggin’ mind

Damn, when you’re so used to go everywhere with a car, it sucks when you don’t have the wheels. I’m still waiting for my car to get fixed. The workshop said it will take 10-14 days. I do hope they can hurry. I am lifeless without a car. The other day I thought of going to KL to take some Christmas deco photos – though sadly the malls have stripped down anything Christmas and is now preparing the Chinese New Year decorations instead – and since I have no car, I used the public transport.

Sticker on women-only commuter coaches

Nope, the KTM Commuter have not changed one bit when it comes to time accuracy. I’m happy to see there are two coaches made specifically for female commuters but somehow some men still seems to get “lost” in those coaches even though there are stickers outside (in 4 languages!) stressing that the coach is for ladies only. Maybe they had a sex change in there? I think there should be at least one KTM Commuter officer at each station to make sure no man lose their bearing and stray to the female-only coach. I took the Commuter to KL with my brother and even though it was Thursday, they were packed. At least the LRT and Monorail weren’t so bad. It had been years since I took the public transport. It’s kind of refreshing to do this once in a while but not everyday. I wouldn’t waste my time just waiting for the public transport.

I miss you my baby..

Yesterday marked one week that I have no car. :-(

I don’t like to drive any of my dad’s car. They’re just too big for me.

My brother, Z’s car is also in the workshop because few weeks earlier on a rainy night, when my brother was going out from a junction at Taman Sungai Jelok, he didn’t notice an incoming black Proton Iswara (who did not turn on his headlights) and had an accident with that car. Surprisingly, his car wasn’t badly damaged as the Proton Iswara’s but we still claimed the insurance. My brother was not as calm as me in that accident. He froze and was immobilized. Even after my other brother, D got out of the car and got verbal with the other driver, Z was still glued to his driver’s seat. I bet it was pretty traumatic for him.

My mom’s car on the other hand, is not friendly to me. Every time when I drive it, it’ll die on me. It hates me, I know it!

My brother D’s the only one without a car now because he hates driving. Most of the time when we’re out for “siblings” outing, it’s either Z or me who would drive. But next year, he’ll get the car of his dreams and both Z and I will make him be our driver, I’ll make sure of that.

Two days ago, the new projector and new karaoke set dad bought was safely installed at our home. Since I have been feeling much better and my chest don’t hurt so much anymore, I have been spending my holiday at home singing. I have graduated from the “Top Hits” list now. Can’t stop singing Selena Gomez’s “Love You Like A Love Song” even though I never liked her.

Yeah, you can see how I am completely bored-out-of-my-friggin-mind!

Anyways, tomorrow is the last day of 2011. What are your plans and resolutions?

P/S : Since I fail to take more Christmas Deco photos, I will now be scouting for Chinese New Year Deco photos. Want to join me with this photo hunting plan? ;-)

MidValley Megamall – Christmas Decorations 2011

MidValley Megamall. That’s where I headed for my next Christmas Decor photo op. The deco theme at MidValley Megamall is “An A-maze-ing Christmas”. There’s just something about mazes that I love. If only the hedges were taller, it would be cooler, something like from the movie Labyrinth – and that is one of my favourite movies of all time. Ahh David Bowie in tights, don’t even get me started about that.

There were also small pebble stones on the ground of the maze. The chandelier of the gazebo at the center court is just beautiful. I can’t help but notice some of the red flowers here is the same as the flowers at 1 Utama shopping center. But I guess this is what Christmas means – red and green all over.

Since I started taking photos at 9pm, I only manage to take photos of decos at the South and Center Court. By the time I finish taking photos at Center Court, the mall was already closing and they’ve covered up the decos at the North Court. :-( Wish I had more time though. Still, the decos here are so beautiful. I absolutely love them!

What do you guys think? Are the decorations at MidValley Megamall beautiful?

Check out more of my MidValley Megamall Christmas Decorations photos at my Facebook Fan Page.

Other Christmas Decorations 2011 post : Sunway Pyramid, 1 Utama

Update : Due to my accident, I had to stay at home to recuperate and was unable to go to other malls in KL to get photos of their Christmas Decorations. Glad that my friend Fie got to take more photos of the decorations. Though I am disappointed, I hoped to be able to get other exciting and beautiful photos of the next festival in Malaysia – Chinese New Year. Stay tune everybody. :-)
